Shopping Centre Kaari recently implemented a thoughtful renovation of its parking facilities. The project focused on enhancing clarity and capacity—improving traffic signage and guidance, especially for designated zones like accessible and electric vehicle spaces. These upgrades were carried out gradually throughout spring and summer of 2025 to minimize disruptions.
Key enhancements include:
- Revised parking layout and upgrade with Portier parking guidance products to better serve and direct drivers.
- Replaced old generation parking guidance sensors with new Portier Sonic parking sensors. Even though the 12 years old system, also provided by Portier, was still perfectly working, it made sense to renew the products during the revision project as the parking lay-out was changed.
- Extremely cost-efficient and smooth upgrade of Portier parking guidance products, existingnetwork and power cabling were utilised for upgraded products. Easy and quick installation makes the whole project smooth and customer friendly ensuring continued parking access during the revision work in addition to savings created by utilising existing installation infrastructure.
- Mixed technologies integrated into Portier HOST parking guidance platform, Portier Sonic parking guidance sensors, parking guidance displays as well as ultrasonic counters together are all creating a seamless user experience in Portier HOST.
In a strategic decision to elevate user experience and operational efficiency, Kaari opted to continue using Portier parking guidance solutions. Portier products —such as the HOST platform—are designed to deliver real-time visibility of available spaces through smart sensors and dynamic LED signage, streamlining navigation and reducing congestion for drivers.
